An area which is not inundated by visitors in the summer as some of the other more well known villages are. The accommodation is located about 3 minutes drive to the East Boldre post office &amp; village store which sells nearly everything, and has two local pubs, The East End Arms renowned for its great food &amp; The Turfcutters Arms which offers a wide choice of well priced food and ales, both only a 3 minute drive away in either direction.<\/p>\n<p>The Old Piggery shares land with the owners Lisa &amp; Cy who have both lived in the Forest all their lives, and have a wealth of knowledge of the area. You can walk straight out of the front gate onto the open forest where you can walk in any direction, there is a lovely walk down to the untouched coastline nearby.<\/p>\n<p>If you bring your bicycles there are various cycle routes throughout the forest or you can cycle along the quiet country roads to Bucklers Hard. If you carry along the <strong>Beaulieu River<\/strong> path you will arrive at <strong>Beaulieu Village. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lymington<\/strong> is an attractive Georgian market town about 5 miles to the west which has a full range of shops and restaurants, regular ferries to the <strong>Isle of Wight<\/strong>, boat excursions, fishing trips and sailing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brockenhurst<\/strong> is a small village and has various shops and restaurants offering all that you would need, with the donkeys and horses roaming its village centre.\u00a0 The mainline station has regular trains to Southampton, London and Bournemouth, where you can also hire bicycles.\u00a0 Horse riding can be booked at a number of stables at Brockenhurst and Burley (10 miles). There are public slipways at Bucklers Hard, Lymington and Keyhaven (which has a ferry to Hurst Castle).
